I think most people fear one thing, possibly even greater than their fear of dying and that is a fear of cognitive decline or Alzheimer’s Disease. We have heard about famous people who developed these diseases such as former President Ronald Reagan and nearly everyone knows a family member who suffered from cognitive decline or Alzheimer’s Disease. While there are FDA approved medications for this illness they have been fairly disappointing in their effectiveness to stop or reverse this illness process. These drugs are expensive and have significant side effects. There is hope however, Dale E. Bresden M.D. studied 10 patients with cognitive decline, including patients with a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s, Amnestic Mild Cognitive Decline and Subjective Cognitive Impairment. Using his therapeutic regimen 9 of the 10 showed sustained improvement. This study holds promise that cognitive decline is a metabolic process that can be stopped and even reversed, at least in their earlier stages. If this decline in mental capacity is reversible it is reasonable to conclude that it is also preventable using the same model of therapy. Nothing in the program is toxic or even a prescription medication. The program is complicated and none of the patients in the study followed all the steps of the protocol. However, as long as enough steps were followed the results were reversal of cognitive decline. Dr. Kippels will help you navigate all the steps in this program of behavior modification, hormone optimization, supplementation and an exercise program.
